The Synergy Team consistently works together in many different projects. We do this to ensure that we are working as efficiently as possible and helping each other provide our clients the service they deserve. When there is a deadline that needs to be met, Synergy goes to any lengths possible to meet that deadline.

One example of our creativity in keeping an education construction project on time and on budget was a project at FIU. Upon commencing the plumbing scope of work on this project a discrepancy was found in A/E plans that showed a plumbing vent line that was passing from the 2nd floor ceiling thru the 3rd floor roof to be rerouted. We then discovered an unforeseen condition where a structural beam did not allow the vent line to be rerouted anywhere in the new space without providing an additional chase, which the user did not want. We met with our plumbing subcontractor and the FIU Building Official to discuss alternate solutions for the user. We proposed an alternate solution which was accepted by the Building Official, the Project Manager, and the user. This unforeseen condition could have caused additional expenses for the user as well modifications to the aesthetic design of the new ballroom, but by working together with our subcontractors, building officials, and the University we were able to address the issue with no additional cost or delays.

Another example of working within a compressed schedule was another project at FIU. This project involved a complete renovation of several offices, a conference room, and kitchen. The user needed this project to happen over a period of 1 month including winter break. We modified our draft schedule and adjusted work shifts to provide two shift workdays over the winter break. This allowed us to compress the schedule and meet the users requested completion date. We updated the schedule on this project multiple times per week to ensure that all materials would be on site when needed and subcontractors would have the proper time to schedule themselves accordingly.
